The make-up illusion and how to design your face

By far the best post I've seen all year. Madame Noire's, Mikki Bey shares insight and strategies on how to create and perfect your very own facial illusion.

I like to think of makeup as a great smoke and mirrors trick. The key to a perfectly executed makeup application is in the ability to create the illusion of diminished flaws. A great way to do this is by contouring the parts of the face that you want to appear slimmer and highlight the places you want to accentuate. Remember this my dear: light colors (highlight) bring forward and dark colors (contour) recede.
