In Tehran, Iran it is illegal for women to show any skin other than their face and hands. They must remain covered no matter the weather or condition. But despite these fashion police enforced laws, emerging designers are finding ways to create and display their art via secret fashion shows in basements and warehouses throughout Iran. Where fashion laws are so strict models refuse to be photographed scared something might happen to them once their secret is out. Shows are advertised through text message or phone call, with designers like Saraf making a way out of no way to share their creations with the world.
