N.Y.C.'s Cry Wolf Boutique launches their online store

CRY WOLF has been open since April 2008, its exclusive, retail space located at 111 St. Marks Place – one of New York City’s most vibrant and historic blocks situated in the East Village.

The 700 square foot boutique features a diverse collection of merchandise for men and women, including footwear (Clae, Chronicles of Never, Gram…), Men’s wear (Kenzo Minami, Public School, Wood Wood, Corpus…), and Women’s apparel and accessories (Sass & Bide, Greyhound, Best Behavior, 80%20). Owned and operated by Abiri Ward and Nina Wolff, the CRY WOLF boutique is the epitome of street-chic. The store represents effortless sophistication derived from international inspirations. It has already received a widespread international and national acclaim from blogs and printed media and it’s a new favorite shop of many NYC downtown residents.

Cry Wolf launches its online store mid November 2009, to reach customers world wide. Free shipping within the US is offered.

“Many of the brands we offer will be exclusive to our store. Our main goal is to seek out small, up-and-coming international designers and introduce them to the East Village,” says Founder and CEO Abiri Ward. “We wanted to add that ‘x-factor’ to the already amazing fashion community on the Lower East Side.”

“All of our buying is based on a sophisticated street wear concept that brings together contemporary brands with independent designers, ” adds Ward.

For Fall/Winter, the boutique will feature collections from the U.K., Canada, Korea, Thailand, Japan, Australia, and Scandinavia. Each season will feature a different selection of merchandise from both international and U.S. brands.

CRY WOLF is the vision of husband and wife team Abiri Ward and Nina Wolff, long-time East Village residents.

Wolff – an accomplished architect – designed the boutique’s interior space to reflect elements of her Scandinavian background. The retail floor boasts a hand-poured concrete desk and a custom-made marble lounge that frames the original fireplace. Exposed wood beams and brick compliment the modern furnishings, which are illuminated by a modernist chandelier that serves as the room’s centerpiece.
